J.R. Locke has dedicated his career to developing human potential and leadership, with a focus on diversity affairs, and he provides outreach to the African-American community on behalf of Goldman’s clients.
For example, Mr. Locke spearheaded the African-American outreach program for Click It or Ticket, Virginia’s first-ever statewide program of stepped-up enforcement of safety belt laws. He served for six years as chairman of the Minority Affairs Council for the United Way of South Hampton Roads in Virginia. There, he launched the organization’s national award-winning “Project Inclusion,” a program of training and placement of minority members on board of directors of non-profit organizations. Mr. Locke has received national honors from the United Way of America for “Best Practice in Diversity.”
Mr. Locke has held management and marketing positions with Trigon Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Colonial Life and Accident Insurance Company, and Allstate Insurance Company. Mr. Locke received a bachelor’s in business administration from Idaho State University.
