We’re now entering the period each year when marketers with ads appearing in the Super Bowl use the opportunity to create publicity and social media buzz about their ads. Millions have been spent producing these marketing gems and millions more will be spent running them, so it is understandable that marketers want to get the most leverage they can from their ads. Expect the conversation for the Super Bowl to be as much about the advertising as about the game. Back in 2010, Nielsen did a survey that found more people tune into the Super Bowl for the ads than the game.
