Today, virtual reality gaming uses a bundle of wires and equipment that requires a person to carry a backpack or they are so wired that their movement is limited. Computer World has a video demonstrating how wireless virtual reality might work. It comes from Computex in Taipei where Intel shows off gaming equipment that could be for sale as early as 2018. What this really means beyond just gaming is that interactive VR might soon be possible. Instead of being a casual VR observer, we might be able to take a more active role in all types of virtual reality.
