Personal Messaging and Branding

BoastingThis column on CNBC’s Making It website by Dr. Charlene Walters caught our eye today. It’s telling young women in the workplace not to be modest about their accomplishments if they want to succeed. Putting this into a public relations perspective, this advice is really about better messaging and branding oneself, by looking at what you have to offer and honing it into a compelling presentation of your abilities and accomplishments and then sticking with it. From our experience, this is as true for all young working people as it is for a business. Much of the good advice presented here will do anyone and any business well to heed.
